WORK, WELFARE, DIGNITY, GOV’T DEPENDENCE AND THE AMERICAN DREAM

By HN

On March 1, 2008 fewer than four months before he died of heart failure at age 71,  George Carlin talked about the American Dream on his last HBO special.

Below is the transcript.  Please read it, then watch Carlin’s routine below and read it again. . . . .

Transcript

GEORGE CARLIN: “But there’s a reason. There’s a reason. There’s a reason for this, there’s a reason-education-SUCKS, and it’s the same reason it will never, ever,  EVER-be-fixed.

It’s never going to get any better, don’t look for it, be happy with what you’ve got.

Because the owners, the owners of this country don’t want that. I’m talking about the real owners now, the BIG owners! The Wealthy… the REAL owners! The big-wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions.

Forget the politicians. They are irrelevant. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice.

You don’t. . . . . .

You have no choice!

You have OWNERS!

They OWN YOU.

They own everything.

They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear.

They got you by the balls.

They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying,  lobbying, to get what they want.  Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want:

They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking.  They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them.  That’s against their interests.

That’s right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen-table and think about how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago. They don’t want that!

You know what they want?

They want obedient workers.  Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork.  And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shitty jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social-Security.

They want your retire-ment-money.  They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something?  They’ll get it.  They’ll get it all from you sooner or later cause they own this fucking place!

It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it!  You, and I, are not in the big club.

By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy.

The table has tilted folks.  The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice.  Nobody seems to care!  Good honest hard-working people; white collar, blue collar it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on.

Good honest hard-working people continue, these are people of modest means, continue to elect these rich cock suckers who don’t give a fuck about you….they don’t give a fuck about you… they don’t give a FUCK about you.

They don’t care about you at all… at all… AT ALL.  And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care.  That’s what the owners count on.

The fact that American(s) will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that’s being jammed up their assholes everyday, because the owners of this country know the truth.

It’s called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.”

Carlin was absolutely right.

Deep state criminals hijacked our government long before any of us, or our parents or grandparents were even born.

So what can we do about it?

According to the most recent audit by the SBA in 2012 , small businesses make up: 99.7 percent of U.S. employer firms, 64 percent of net new private-sector jobs, 49.2 percent of private-sector employment, 42.9 percent of private-sector jobs, 46 percent of private-sector output, 43 percent of high-tech employment, 98 percent of firms exporting goods.

Oppressive selective taxation and selective over regulation that target and stifle small business in favor of big crony pro-lib monopoly corporations like Apple, Amazon, Google and Facebook, etc create poverty among the masses, since Americans work for small businesses, who pay the lions share of these taxes and whose profits are dwindled due to overbearing regulations is more than tyranny, it is treason!

Where is the equality? It doesn’t exist. Equality means equal opportunity, not equal wealth.  The poor should not be made comfortable in their poverty, but hungry for rising out of it.

Roughly 60 percent of SNAP recipients who were of working age and weren’t disabled were employed while receiving benefits, according to a calculation by the liberal Center for Budget and Policy Priorities on Jan 28, 2015.

Sure, many are disabled and can’t work, but most people on SNAP do, but 40% do not work that can. Approximately 52.2 million (or 21.3 percent) people in the U.S. participated in major means-tested government programs each month in 2012, according to a U.S. Census-Bureau report released May 28, 2015. So of these 52.2 million Americans, more than 20 million are moochers. . They don’t work but are not disabled.

In fact, in 2012 more than 47.8 percent of families receiving SNAP were working (the highest ever), and 13.2 percent were welfare recipients with no working adults, according to the US Department of Agriculture.

It is not compassionate to keep people in a cycle of generational poverty through government welfare, it is abuse, plain and simple. Work, effort, perseverance and going the extra mile = success.

There are no shortcuts or substitutions for prosperity.  No participation trophies.

America has proven this in the past, but that fact has been obscured by socialist textbooks and mass media propaganda. So keep legalizing pot and getting a stoner population that is addicted to gov’t handouts and you have an ever increasing poor population happy in their servitude to the corrupt central bank driven system of welfare.

There was a time where people were ashamed to be on welfare. Where happened to people’s dignity? Sure, some have fallen on hard times and used this system, but worked very hard to escape it.

Living in poverty is not fun. And it shouldn’t be fun, or easy. It should be harder than finding work.

Workfare is the way to go.  If you receive benefits, you have to work to qualify for them, or do hours of community service equal to the monthly benefit.   This isn’t cruel, or racist, but rather builds dignity and self worth.  I my view, if this was federal law, no one would work to remain chained by welfare, they would raise their own bootstraps and struggle to better themselves and in return break the current multi-generational cycle of poverty we are experiencing in this country.

If one can not work and earn-close to what you can working, they will stay home.  And can you blame them?  Making people comfortable in their poverty keeps them in poverty.   If they must work to receive their benefits, they will get at least try to get a better paying gig and more skills, or not and serve their own local communities to qualify for government-benefits.

These are all win-win-wins.

Unfortunately, the democratic social engineers who wish us all to be poor (as revealed by wikileaks in 2016) want poverty and welfare to not have a stigma. And it MUST have a stigma, so people fight to stay off it! Free stuff for the unproductive serfs at the expense of the hard working productive sector is theft!.

I personally have compassion for people who temporarily needed help when going through hard times, but I have zero compassion for those unwilling to improve their lives and instead seek handouts and gov’t cheese at tax payer expense to survive. Welfare fraud is also off the charts.

Women can’t marry or have a man in their house to get benefits for themselves and their children, so these broken homes lead to a cycle of poverty, drugs, violence, gangs and all things negative.

Giving someone a welfare check rather than a paycheck is demeaning, but these welfare cases have been programmed that it is ok to ask for help. Even if that help lasts 50 years.

These generational Welfare Queens and their Welfare Princes and Princesses are part of why the family unit continues to disintegrate. It is disgraceful, or should I say, deplorable.

Work not welfare!   Prosperity not government dependence!

Now don’t even get me started on illegal immigration!– That’s for another article.  😉  HN
